Do I have Faith?

We all understand what faith is and walk by faith fairly regularly. How do I know this? I know this because most of us are reliant on a small screen that tells us how to get where we want to go. We all exercise faith whenever we pull up our GPS and let it direct us where we want to go. We will follow where it leads trusting it to get us where we want to go. We will follow that thing just about anywhere, on random backroads, zigzagging through neighborhoods, through sketchy areas at night. I mean many would follow their GPS through the middle of a field if it told them too. They might question if they are going the right way as they drive on, but they still go where the GPS leads.

If we are willing to follow our GPS somewhere that didn’t even have roads, why are we so resistant when God asks us to simply get off the highway and take a different route? If we have the faith to follow the GPS through a cornfield at midnight in the middle of nowhere, we definitely have the faith to follow God down the backroads.

How do I get the faith to follow God like I do my GPS; it is so easy to follow the GPS and so difficult to follow God? You have to build it, just like you built your faith in the GPS, by constant use. Each time the GPS got you to your destination you trusted it more and more. In the same way talk to God, take Him at His word and trust Him. Put His words into practice and each time He comes through your faith will build.
